Through a blended learning approach that integrates theory and practice, you will have the opportunity to create a series of short films. The curriculum is up-to-date with the latest industry technology and adheres to contemporary digital standards, ensuring you are well-versed in relevant software used in the field.

The comprehensive four-year international route program includes a foundation year, where you will be introduced to the fundamentals of the creative industry, enabling you to refine your career path. During this time, you will also build a strong portfolio, setting you on the path to progress seamlessly into your BA degree while being well-prepared to use English language in an academic context.

Foundation International Route Option

Age Requirement: Applicants must be at least 18 years old. Those who have completed at least 11 years of schooling are eligible for titles upon completion. If an applicant is 17 and will turn 18 within 3 months of enrollment, they are still eligible for enrollment.

This integrated international route foundation course in art design and media offers guidance on creating an outstanding portfolio, ensuring a direct progression into your BA degree course.

Academic Qualifications: ECCTIS UK equivalent to GCSE.

English Language Requirements:

Official English Tests:

  • IELTS – minimum overall score of 5.0 (with at least 4.5 in each component).

  • Password test – minimum overall score of 5.0 (with at least 4.5 in each component).

  • PTE (Academic) – minimum overall score of 46 (with at least 41 in each component).

  • LanguageCert International ESOL SELT – minimum B1 Achiever High Pass.

  • Duolingo test – overall score of 95+.

West African Certificates (WAEC AND NECO only) are accepted as stand-alone, with a minimum of C6 in English and issued within the last 5 years. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) is also accepted with an overall grade C or above. For Tanzania and Cameroon, an IELTS (or equivalent certificate) is required.

If WAEC/NECO was issued more than 5 years ago, it must be enhanced by a successful (50%+) Internal English Assessment.

Applicants from majority English-speaking countries who completed their academic qualifications in those countries are exempt from English tests. These countries include Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, The Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Ireland, Jamaica, Malta, New Zealand, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, UK, and US.

The English Language test requirement may be waived if:

  • Applicants achieved an ECCTIS recognized High School Certificate with English as the medium of instruction (teaching and assessment).

  • Canadian nationals completed studies at an English-speaking School/College/University.

BA (Hons)

Age Requirement: Applicants must be at least 18 years old. Titles are awarded upon completion of at least 12 years of schooling.

For direct Year 1 BA entry, applicants must submit an online portfolio through the BSBI Applicant Portal.

Academic Qualifications: Acceptable qualifications include a school leaving certificate enabling pursuit of higher education in Germany (e.g., Abitur, Fachhochschulreife, or Matura), international baccalaureate, international school leaving certificates, BTEC/national diploma, or advanced vocational certificate of education. Applicants without the above academic requirements may be considered on an individual basis if they have professional qualifications and/or four years of full-time work experience.

English Language Requirements:

Official English Tests:

  • IELTS – minimum overall score of 6.0 (with at least 5.5 in each component).

  • Password test – minimum overall score of 6.0 (with at least 5.5 in each component).

  • PTE (Academic) – minimum overall score of 56 (with at least 51 in each component).

  • TOEFL IBT – minimum overall score of 80 (with at least 17 in Listening, 18 in Reading, 20 in Speaking, and 17 in Writing).

  • Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) or Cambridge English Proficiency – minimum overall score of 69 (with at least 162 in each component).

  • LanguageCert International ESOL SELT – minimum B2 Communicator High Pass (with at least 33 in each component).

  • Duolingo test – overall score of 105.

Applicants with a slightly insufficient score in one component but meeting the overall threshold can take an English diagnostic test online. Students in Germany may sit for an internal assessment, free of charge, with a passing rate of 50%+.

The English Language test requirement may be waived if:

  • Applicants achieved an ECCTIS UK recognized High-School Certificate within the last 2 years, with English as the medium of instruction.

  • Canadian nationals completed a bachelor's degree at an English-speaking University.

For West African Certificates (WAEC AND NECO), a minimum of C6 in English and issuance within the last 5 years is required. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) is also accepted with an overall grade C or above. Applicants from Tanzania and Cameroon are requested to provide an IELTS (or equivalent certificate).

Cambridge IGCSE, Cambridge AICE certificates, and International baccalaureate diploma with specific English grades are also accepted.

  • A high school certificate can be undergraduate certificate, undergraduate diploma, HNC, HND, CertHE, DipHE, etc.

Schengen Zone Residents Entry Requirements:

Applicants who are residents in the Schengen Zone do not need to present an IELTS language test or equivalent. Instead, they are required to pass the BSBI English diagnostics interview, provided by BSBI.
