Program Overview

Musicology is the science of music in the widest conceivable meaning of the term and thus covers a spectrum stretching, for instance, from Greek Antiquity, to the symphony of 1800 , through to computer-supported composition programs, and from the music of the Chinese Sonq dynasty, to the operas of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, though to Rai. Musicology studies the historical, cultural, social and aesthetic foundations and conditions of the phenomenon of music. It does so from the perspective of the historical, cultural, social and natural sciences, depending on the question. In the program, students acquire fundamental musicological knowledge and develop the ability to think, comprehend and work in the field of Musicology independently.
