The content of the course is on the one hand the basics and methods of the scientific analysis and historiography of music as well as its origin and reception. On the other hand, knowledge about the conditions of the mediation of music in contemporary cultural life is acquired. External internships provide insights into specific working conditions and their communicative requirements.
