WAEC/NECO must be enhanced by a successful (50%+) Internal English Assessment if issued more than 5 years ago. Nationals of majority English-speaking countries who completed their academic qualifications in one of these countries are exempt from English tests (Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, The Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Ireland, Jamaica, Malta, New Zealand, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, UK, and USA). The English Language test can be waived with a Medium of Instruction Letter if the applicant meets certain criteria.
