The course provides interdisciplinary core competencies in the systematic analysis of visual artefacts (images, objects, buildings, etc.) from a period from antiquity to the present. In addition to the structured factual and methodological knowledge from the subjects of art history and classical archeology, professional experience in the areas of media competence, museum studies, art trade and monument preservation is imparted in a wide range of more practice-oriented modules.
