Bachelors in Pedagogy: development and inclusion

3 Years On Campus Bachelors Program

University of Siegen

Program Overview

"The education system is more than ever seen as highly selective. The associated structural disadvantages represent an immense challenge for our society. The ""Pedagogy: Development and Inclusion"" course prepares students to help reduce these disadvantages in the German education system. The educational science course lies at the intersection of the pedagogical sub-disciplines with reference to psychological and sociological findings. The interlocking of these different disciplines gives students a comprehensive view of questions of inclusion and participation in education. Through the close combination of theory and practice, theoretical knowledge is built up and linked to practice-oriented practical knowledge. Professionally guided case study work encourages the students to test and reflect on their own expertise in the field."
