Program Overview

Mechatronics is an interdisciplinary field of engineering based on the traditional subjects of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. In this subject, the interactions between mechanical and electronic components are investigated and taught. The term "mechatronics" is a combination of the two words "mechanics" and "electronics". Originally, this term was used to refer to the supplementing of mechanical components by electronics in equipment technology.
