The Leibniz University of Hannover also known as the University of Hanover is a public university based in Hannover, Germany. The university was established in 1831 and is one of the largest and oldest science and technology universities in Germany. On its 175th Anniversary in 2006, the university was given the name Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Universitat Hannover.
