Program Overview

Meteorology is the study of physical and chemical processes and the resulting conditions in the atmosphere, which forms the layer of gases surrounding the Earth. Meteorological processes run in various spatial and temporal scales. Climatology is a subdiscipline of meteorology that focuses on the analysis and description of intermediate processes and states in the atmosphere (climate) and the climate system and changes to them. The most widely known area of application of meteorology is weather forecasting.
