Program Overview

Subject of the bachelor program Buddhist and South Asian Studies is the cultural and intellectual history of South Asia, especially India, and Tibet from the beginnings to modernity, focusing in particular the religions and literatures. Knowledge about the teaching, propagation and history of Buddhism and / or knowledge about other Indian religions, eg about Jainism, as well as about the literatures of India and Tibet will be imparted.
