French teachers are experts in targeted mediation, learning and educational processes in the subject of French, which they design on the basis of scientific, didactic and methodological knowledge and the corresponding skills with commitment and enjoyment in their subject. The objectives of their teaching activities are to enable the students to communicate in the foreign language and to impart intercultural competence in the sense of a didactic of multilingualism, which is particularly important due to the geographic location of the Saarland. In addition, French teachers contribute to the development of methodological skills and strategies for independent and lifelong (language) learning of their students.
