Program Overview

The German-Czech Studies DTS are a binational, interdisciplinary 6-semester Bachelors degree anchored in cultural and social sciences, which is offered in cooperation with Charles University in Prague. The German students spend the second year of study together with the Czech students at Charles University in Prague. In the third and last year, all students study together in Regensburg, with main seminars in the respective focus area being attended in the 5th semester and the final BA thesis being written in the 6th semester. The interdisciplinary German-Czech studies prepare the students for relevant master's courses depending on the focus (in Regensburg, for example, IVWL, East-West studies, Eastern European studies, intercultural European studies, etc.).
