1st academic year: overview of ancient literature; Methods, techniques and aids of philological working; active language proficiency and deepening of reading skills.2nd academic year: intensification of reading and language skills, development of literary methods; Insights into two neighboring disciplines (Ancient History, Ancient Philosophy or Classical Archeology).

Should require Grade high school diploma,grade will be improved by up to 0.6 for vocational training, work experience, special educational background or extra-curricular achievements and qualifications that provide evidence of suitability for the program, Certified copy of diploma certificate, Passport Copy, Passport Photo, Applicants must be fluent in both English and German, Foreign applicants must demonstrate their abiliy to study by submitting one of the following two certificates: DSH , at least with the overall result DSH 2 or DSH 3 or TestDaF , in all partial examinations at least with the result 4 or 5 (level), Applicants with a German Bachelor Degree do not need proof of their German language skills, Letter of motivation (max. 1 page) in English or German, CV in tabular format in English or German, Certificate equivalent to the German Abitur certificate, Greek knowledge in the scope of the Graecum, Knowledge of English (usually proven by the high school diploma),Knowledge of another modern foreign language (preferably Italian or French) must be proven at the latest by the beginning of the BA thesis
