Spanish teachers are experts in targeted mediation, learning and educational processes in the subject of Spanish, which they design on the basis of scientific, didactic and methodological knowledge and the corresponding skills with commitment and enjoyment in their subject. The goals of their teaching activities are to enable the students to communicate in the foreign language and to impart intercultural competence in the sense of a didactic of multilingualism that is shaped by the socio-cultural diversity of the entire Spanish language and cultural area. In addition, Spanish teachers contribute to the development of methodological skills and strategies as well as to the independent and lifelong (language) learning of their students.
