During the course of study, specialist knowledge for the development, analysis and interpretation of the different types of sources is imparted, which must be evaluated for historical research on antiquity, the Middle Ages and the modern era.The basic sciences of source studies deal in particular with inscribed and numismatic sources as well as printed and unprinted archive material of various origins. In this respect, the supplementary subject provides an additional qualification for studying history.
