BA History of Science

3 Years On Campus Bachelors Program

University of Regensburg

Program Overview

"In the Bachelors degree, the history of science is taught primarily as an instance of reflection on science. The students acquire both a historical overview and the basic methods and questions of the history of science and learn to understand science in its interactions with culture and society as a historical process. In this way, they are enabled to reflect and communicate about science in a historically grounded manner. In the scientific object disciplines, such a meta-perspective is usually not conveyed. Their absence affects society as a whole as a communication deficit between the ""two cultures"". "
