The course provides an introduction to the substantive and methodological principles of physics and insight into the principal areas of research within the discipline. Students acquire the skills to apply acquired knowledge to problems, critically assess their own knowledge and constantly develop to meet changing requirements as professionals. The course also gives students the skills to apply fundamental experimental techniques using modern computer technology and to present academic findings using modern communication and presentation equipment. The course gives students the ability to apply basic knowledge of physics across a broad range of careers.
