Program Overview

The different approaches to the belief in one God, which are documented in the testimonies of Israel and the Christian Church, are examined using a number of different methods in accordance with present-day scientific disciplines (historico-critical method, methods of linguistics, literary, and cultural studies). The fundamentals of faith are studied and re-interpreted from the viewpoint of modern-day religious, philosophical, and social issues. Consideration is also given to the historical involvement of the Church as a community of believers
