Program Overview

Law deals with the applicable law in its totality (treaties under international law, parliamentary laws, ordinances, etc.). Here, the focus is on the interpretation of the law and its application to all aspects of everyday life (relationships and problems of citizens, the state and organizations). The Law course is concerned with legal dogmatic subjects (main area of applicable law: civil law, criminal law, public law), methods of jurisprudence, philosophical, historical and social basis of law (basic subjects). Students are also taught key skills as part of the Law course. The aim of the course is to prepare law students for judicial office, which is a prerequisite for almost all regulated legal professions (e.g. attorney, judge, district attorney).
