Bachelors in jurisprudence

4 Years On Campus Bachelors Program

University of Passau

Program Overview

"In order to work in one of the ""classic"" legal professions, such as a lawyer, in the public prosecutor's office or in the office of a judge, you must first successfully complete a law degree at the university and then successfully complete the legal preparatory service (""traineeship""). The law degree teaches you how the German legal system works and how it is inherent in every everyday life situation. The aim of the course is to grasp the law - divided into civil law, public law and criminal law - with understanding and to be able to analyze and solve it on the basis of practical facts. Contrary to popular belief, the course is by no means dry."
