The standard period of study is three years. In addition to Chemistry, the course also includes a second teaching subject, Educational Sciences, and compulsory teaching experience in schools. With a view to working in a school, graduates are taught to give lessons in chemistry in a competent and clear manner that is appropriate for the age of the pupils.
