Program Overview

Would you like to study the physics of semiconductors, laser structures, light-matter interaction, solar cell materials, strongly correlated materials or complex systems Then study the BSc Physics in Marburg. Since physics is the basis of all natural sciences, the course is correspondingly broad. A 4-semester basic course, which includes experimental and theoretical physics, internships and a not inconsiderable proportion of mathematics, is followed by a 4-semester in-depth and specialization phase. In the specialization phase, some of the courses can also be taken outside of physics biology, chemistry or computer science, so that individual inclinations can be clearly taken into account. The 10-semester combination of Bachelors and Master's, which is necessary for full training, is offered in Marburg as an 8+2 semester. This achieves flexibility, which noticeably improves the introductory phase of studies, a focus on personal preferences, a semester abroad or the start of studies in the summer semester.
