BA English and American Studies

With the skills acquired in the field of English and American Studies, students are able to apply linguistic, literary and cultural studies questions and methods to job- and subject-specific problems in the professional fields, their requirements at the intersection of language, intercultural or cultural mediation competence and skills in dealing with texts. The acquisition of solid basic knowledge of the subject and the necessary practical language skills as well as the ability to carry out supervised scientific work are of particular importance.
