Program Overview

Reconstructing the past through finds. Get an idea of the development of mankind from the Old Stone Age to the present day. Gaining knowledge of how regionally specific cultures have further developed through trade contacts. And learn how this knowledge can be of use to us in clarifying future-related questions. All of this is offered by the BA in Archaeological Sciences, which in the first four semesters provides a broad overview of archaeological methods, genres and epochs from the oldest sections of human history to the Middle Ages. The subsequent specification phase enables you to deepen your knowledge in the areas of prehistory and early history, classical archeology or Christian archeology with Byzantine art history.
