Economics studies how individual actors, such as companies, consumers, and employees interact on markets. The objective is to understand and analyze the complex interactions, events, and results of market activities in complex modern societies from the perspective of a basic understanding of individual behavior.The second area of economics has to do with the activities of the state in economic and social policy. The main area of interest here is the problems that are (or can be) solved by the actors involved collectively within the context of societal institutions. This includes, for instance, economic orders like the social market economy, social security systems, the supply of public goods, and the regulation of natural monopolies.
