Program Overview

The teaching program of the bachelor program is divided into modules. In the first four semesters compulsory fundamentals from the modules of sociological theory, social science methodology, social science statistics and empirical sociology are imparted. Starting in the fourth semester, students have to complete compulsory elective modules, such as applied sociology and interdisciplinary key qualifications. A work placement is part of the study; it concludes with the bachelor thesis. The main subject requires 120 ECTS and a minor ECTS 60 ECTS.

Should require Grade high school diploma,grade will be improved by up to 0.6 for vocational training, work experience, special educational background or extra-curricular achievements and qualifications that provide evidence of suitability for the program, Certified copy of diploma certificate, Passport Copy, Passport Photo, Applicants must be fluent in both English and German, Foreign applicants must demonstrate their abiliy to study by submitting one of the following two certificates: DSH , at least with the overall result DSH 2 or DSH 3 or TestDaF , in all partial examinations at least with the result 4 or 5 (level), Applicants with a German Bachelor Degree do not need proof of their German language skills, Letter of motivation (max. 1 page) in English or German, CV in tabular format in English or German, Certificate equivalent to the German Abitur certificate, Good English skills are expected, as a large part of the literature is written in this language
