The general aim of the programme is to train competent professionals for the fashion business including textiles, apparel, retailing, design and related organizations. These professionals play an active role in the development of the fashion and textiles industry locally and internationally. In addition to their professional competencies, the programme cultivates other essential competencies for today s society. Students acquire abilities such as teamwork and leadership, entrepreneurship, a healthy lifestyle and lifelong learning; they become creative problem solvers with problem-solving skills, critical thinking and creative thinking; they gain effective communication and interpersonal skills, and have high proficiency in biliteracy and trilingualism. They will become educated global citizens, demonstrate social and national responsibility, be interested in local and international affairs, and exhibit cultural appreciation and a global outlook.
