The Department of Linguistics offers programmes of study at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Our programmes are designed to address the growing needs of Hong Kong and other Chinese communities for language professionals well versed in linguistics and language applications.
Award of an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma with a minimum diploma point score of 30 (out of 45) is required. Grade E or above in three GCE A-level (or A2) / International A-level subjects. TOEFL Minimum total score 550 on the paper-based test / 79 on the Internet-based test and IELTS Overall band score of 6.5 or above.
