The aim of the training at the Institute of Ethnography is to get to know folkloristics1 European ethnology and cultural anthropology thoroughly. We train specialists who are able to understand their own culture and that of others1 to shape the culture of smaller and wider communities1 who are tolerant towards the culture of others1 who are not only familiar with folk and peasant culture1 but also with contemporary culture1 who are also methodologically prepared for cultural research 1 they are also able to interpret and analyze the operation and practice of social changes
