Eotvos Lorand University is a public research university based in Budapest, Hungary. The university was established in the year 1635 in the city of Nagyszombat in Hungary by Peter Pazmany. The university moved its campus to the city of Pest in 1777 finally moving to its present-day location in 1784.

Eotvos Lorand University offers 38 undergraduate degrees, 96 graduate degrees and 118 Ph.D. programs across the faculties of Law and Political Science, Special Education, Humanities, Informatics, Education and Psychology, Social Sciences, Elementary and Nursery School Teacher Training, and Sciences.

Eotvos Lorand University also offers intra-university credit transfers in Europe through the Bologna Process. Doctoral programs offered in the fields of Linguistics, English, Modern Languages, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biological Sciences, Computer Science and Information Systems, and Life Sciences.
