Program Overview

The Institute of Antiquities1 which oversees the course1 provides the most complete training and research in ancient studies in Hungary1 and since 2007 all departments except the New Greek Working Group have been operating on the Trefort-kert campus: the Department of Egyptology1 the Department of Assyriology and Hebraistics1 the Department of Greek and the Department of Latin; and the MTA-ELTE Judaic Research Group1 which is part of the Minority Research Institute of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences1 but which provides part of the Hebraistics education1 and the J nos Harmatta Library of the classical and philological departments were also located here
