TU Dublin’s BSc (Hons) in Business & Management is the largest undergraduate business degree offered by the College of Business. It provides a broad-based business education in the early years, followed by the opportunity to specialise in key business functions. The program is highly interactive, blending theory and practice through workshops, projects, simulations, and case competitions.
Builds core knowledge in accounting, marketing, HRM, operations, and economics in Years 1 & 2
Offers extensive electives in Years 3 & 4, allowing students to tailor their learning
Incorporates work placement and/or international study in Year 3
Course Overview:
Year 1: Financial Accounting, Principles of Management, Micro/Macroeconomics, Marketing, Quantitative Methods, IT, Communications
Year 2: Financial Reporting, HRM, Business Law, Operations Management, Management Science, electives like EU Integration and Public Speaking
Year 3: Options include Work Placement or Study Abroad, plus modules in Taxation, Business Technologies, HRM, Marketing, and Strategic Tools
Year 4: Advanced electives such as Strategic Marketing, Financial Strategy, Business Sustainability, Strategy Case Competition, and Applied Project
16–20 week paid work placement in Year 3 with Irish and multinational firms
Option to study abroad for a full academic year at one of 50+ global partner universities
Hands-on experience through debates, simulations, charity events, and industry projects
Participation in national and international business case competitions
Wide career pathways in finance, consulting, HR, banking, marketing, and entrepreneurship
