MTU’s Bachelor of Business (Honours) Marketing is a four-year Level 8 program that blends creative marketing with digital expertise and real-world business engagement. It’s ideal for students who want to master advertising, social media, brand management, and analytics while gaining practical experience through live projects and a 15-week industrial placement.


Curriculum Structure

Year 1

Your first year introduces the foundations of marketing and business. You’ll study Principles of Marketing & Management, develop Selling Skills, and gain confidence in Information Technology (IT). Communication and general business topics are emphasized, helping you build teamwork and presentation skills while exploring how the digital world is reshaping marketing.

Year 2

In the second year, you’ll focus on understanding customers and digital marketing. Modules such as Market Research, Retail Marketing, and Content Creation allow you to analyze consumer behaviour and design campaigns. This year emphasizes practical assignments and digital tools, preparing you to create strategies that resonate with audiences.

Year 3

This year is all about applied learning and industry exposure. You’ll take modules in Digital & Social Media Marketing and participate in live-case assessments, solving real-world problems for companies. A highlight is the industrial placement (minimum of 15 weeks), where you gain hands-on experience in marketing roles across diverse industries.

Year 4

In your final year, you’ll focus on advanced strategy and specialization. Core modules include Brand Management, Marketing Metrics, and Sales Strategy, alongside electives such as Social Marketing, Fashion Marketing, Sports Marketing, Aviation & Tourism Marketing, and Sustainable Business. This year prepares you for leadership roles in marketing and management.
