This one-year Level-8 add-on honours degree equips graduates with advanced-level knowledge in network security, distributed systems, mobile applications, system administration, software development, and M2M technology. Suitable for those holding a Level-7 degree in networking, electronics, communications engineering or equivalent, it's ideal if you want to transition into an IT or communications network management role.

  • Semester 1, you’ll dive into core disciplines: Software Development (covering object‑oriented programming and design), Mobile Applications (for iOS, Android, Windows Phone, BlackBerry), Cybersecurity Operations, The Internet of Things, Open Source Software, and Business & Management Studies.
  • Semester 2 specializes your technical skill set with GUI Design & Database Connectivity, Embedded Systems Connectivity, and finishes with a capstone Project, giving you real-world problem-solving experience in integrating networking, microcontrollers, server deployment, cryptography, and universal design principles.
