Course & Admission Overview The programme is offered at NFQ Level 8, which corresponds to an undergraduate honours degree. Admission is competitive, with a limited intake and academic merit forming the primary basis of selection.CAO Points The indicative entry standard is 477 CAO Points for 2025, reflecting strong demand for the course. CAO points may vary slightly each year depending on applicant performance and availability of places.Number of Places A total of 30 places are available for this programme each academic year. Due to limited capacity, meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee an offer of admission.Irish Leaving Certificate Applicants must present six subjects, including H5 in two subjects and O6/H7 in four subjects. English or Irish at O6/H7 and Mathematics at H4 are mandatory academic requirements. The Mathematics requirement may also be satisfied through H4 in Applied Mathematics. In such cases, applicants must additionally hold H6 in Mathematics to meet eligibility standards.International Baccalaureate (IB) The minimum entry requirement is 28 IB points, though requirements may vary by course. Applicants must present six subjects, including three at Higher Level and three at Standard Level.A-Levels (Including GCSE O-Level) Applicants must present at least six recognised subjects, including a minimum of two A2 Level subjects. An A-Level grade C is required in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or a Laboratory Science subject. Grades from AS and A2 Levels in the same subject cannot be combined for assessment. A maximum of four A2 Level subjects will be considered, and General Studies is excluded.English Language – IELTS Applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate language proficiency. A minimum IELTS score of 6.0 is required, with no individual band below 5.5.English Language – TOEFL Alternatively, applicants may submit TOEFL iBT scores as proof of English proficiency. A minimum overall score of 80 is required, with section minimums clearly specified.CBSE / CISCE (India) Applicants presenting Class XII Higher Secondary School Certificates from CBSE or CISCE are considered. A minimum overall score of 75% is required for eligibility for admission consideration.American Curriculum (GPA / AP / SAT / ACT) Applicants must hold a US High School Diploma with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
