Year 1

You’ll also begin building essential professional competencies through Professional and Critical Skills for Psychologists and strengthen your methodological understanding with Research Methods in Psychology and Research Design and Statistical Analyses I. Courses in Individual Differences, Social Psychology, and Digital Literacy for Psychologists further broaden your perspective on human behaviour and how psychologists work in applied contexts. 
 

Year 2

Second-year study deepens your understanding of specialised psychological topics and advanced research skills. Core modules like Research Methods & Data Analysis enhance your ability to handle complex data, while Applied Cognition and Social and Organisational Psychology explore how thinking and behaviour work in everyday and workplace environments. You’ll also engage with Psychology of Childhood and Adolescence and Psychology and Everyday Life, applying psychological theories to understand life span development, ageing, and daily behaviour patterns. 

 

Year 3 – Core Modules

In your final year you’ll focus on advanced applications and independent work with Research Project at the centre, allowing you to design and execute your own psychological research. Modules such as Applied Psychology Seminars and Psychological Therapies place emphasis on professional application of psychological knowledge, while Personal and Career Development prepares you for transition to the workforce or postgraduate study. You’ll also study Psychological Measurement, developing the skills to evaluate and interpret key psychological assessments.
