3 Years On Campus Bachelors Program
If you’re someone who enjoys both creativity and practical problem-solving, this program at Accademia Italiana is a really strong fit. It’s designed to help you move from raw ideas to real, functional interiors and products—so you’re not just designing, you’re learning how things actually work in the real world.
Curriculum Structure
Year 1
So, in your first year, you’re really building that creative foundation. You’ll explore subjects like design research analysis, history of interior design, and materials and their use, which help you understand how design evolves and why certain choices matter. At the same time, you’ll start working on basic projects—sketching, experimenting, and learning how to turn ideas into something structured.
Year 2
By the second year, things get a lot more hands-on and practical. You’ll start working on real design scenarios like interior furniture design for private spaces, commercial and public spaces (like restaurants, museums, hotels), and even survey and restructuring of spaces. This is where you begin using digital tools more seriously and start thinking like a designer who can actually execute ideas, not just imagine them.
Year 3
In your final year, everything comes together. You’ll focus on advanced work like product design and prototyping, visual and graphic communication of your designs, and most importantly, building a professional portfolio. This is the stage where you prepare for the industry—whether that’s working with studios, entering competitions, or starting your own creative path.
Focus Areas
Interior Design, Product Design, Spatial Design, Furniture Design, Materials & Technology, Digital Design Tools, Visual Communication
Learning Outcomes
Strong creative thinking, practical design execution, ability to design and restructure spaces, product development and prototyping skills, confidence with design software, and a polished professional portfolio
Professional Alignment (Accreditation)
The degree is recognised by the Italian Ministry of University (MUR), which means it holds official academic value and is internationally recognised.
Reputation (Employability & Industry Exposure)
What’s nice here is the exposure—you’re not learning in isolation. The school connects students with industry professionals and real design contexts, including guest lectures and collaborations with well-known brands like Kartell and Poltrona Frau. That kind of environment really helps when it comes to building confidence and employability.

At Accademia Italiana, learning feels very hands-on from the start—you’re not just sitting through lectures, you’re actually designing, experimenting, and building things as you go. The whole program is built around real practice, where you develop ideas, test them, present them, and refine them using the same approach designers follow in the industry.
What also makes a big difference is the environment—you’re studying in cities like Florence and Rome, which naturally become part of your learning. Museums, architecture, exhibitions… they’re not separate from your course, they actually feed into your projects and creative thinking.
And as you progress, this practical exposure becomes more structured and career-focused:

At Accademia Italiana, the goal isn’t just to graduate—you’re expected to step into the design world with confidence, experience, and a portfolio that actually represents your work. By the end of the program, most students are already connected to the industry through projects, internships, and events, which makes the transition into a career feel much more natural.
You’ll typically move into roles such as Interior Designer, Product Designer, Furniture Designer, or Spatial/Exhibition Designer — and from there, you can grow into studio-based roles, freelance work, or even launch your own creative practice:
