The Florence campus features lecture classrooms, design studios, computer laboratories, a library, materials archive, assembly hall, photography studios, fashion workshops, sewing and pattern-making labs, model-making workshops, art studios, and collaborative learning spaces housed within historic Renaissance buildings.
The Rome campus, opened in a newly redeveloped creative hub in 2023, provides over 2,000 square meters of classrooms, workshops, computer labs, exhibition and event spaces, a lecture hall, a materials library (materioteca), and a combined library and study area. The campus was designed using sustainable building principles and has received BREEAM environmental certification.

The below information is required while
completing the university application :
1. International students applying to an undergraduate (Bachelor's) program at Accademia Italiana must possess a recognized secondary school qualification equivalent to an Italian high school diploma and normally have completed at least 12 years of education.
2. Applicants are required to submit a completed application form, a copy of their passport, high school diploma or proof of final-year enrollment, a motivational letter, and, for MUR accredited programs, a portfolio of creative work together with a motivational interview conducted online or on campus.
3. International applicants must also provide a Declaration of Value or a CIMEA certificate confirming the validity of their qualifications.
4. Non EU students requiring a visa must complete the Universitaly pre enrollment process before enrollment.

Accademia Italiana has achieved several significant milestones since its founding in 1984, establishing itself as one of Italy's leading institutions for fashion, design, and creative arts. In 2013, the academy received official recognition from the Italian Ministry of Education (MIUR/MUR), allowing it to award legally recognized academic diplomas equivalent to bachelor's degrees.
A notable institutional achievement was the celebration of its 30th anniversary in 2014, marking three decades of excellence in creative education. During this event, the academy presented its prestigious Pyramid of Excellence Award to prominent figures including fashion designer Renato Balestra, entrepreneur Patrizia Bambi, lighting-design pioneer Ernesto Gismondi, and photographer Maurizio Galimberti for their contributions to fashion, design, and photography.

Accademia Italiana has increasingly strengthened its role in design innovation, sustainability, and creative research through interdisciplinary projects, industry collaborations, and advanced academic programs. A major milestone came in 2024, when the institution launched two Ministry-accredited PhD programs in Art, Innovation and New Technologies, including the PhD in Advanced Studies of Design, Innovation and Sustainability Culture, focusing on sustainable design, innovation processes, and the integration of technology into creative industries.
