Bachelor of arts in linguistics in Kobe university

Any ordinary person will learn at least one language almost completely by the age of 4 years old. However, it is difficult to learn a foreign language after it grows up. Even a chimpanzee who can ride a bicycle or make full use of tools cannot learn human language. The simple question of why this is so is the central issue of linguistics today. In order to solve this mystery, we study the characteristics common to the languages of the world and the differences that characterize each language, as well as the social transformation (dialect) of words and historical changes from all angles.
