Kobe University History

Kobe University was established in 1949. Kobe University is one of the oldest and largest national universities in Japan as well as one of the highest ranking national universities in the country. Kobe University is promoting interdisciplinary research and education to become an outstanding research university Located beside the foothills of Mount Rokk.

Kobe University Programs, Courses, and Schools

Kobe University acknowledges students at undergraduate and graduate levels for degree-seeking and non-degree-seeking programmes. Applicants for degree-seeking programmes need to take entrance examinations conducted by the relevant departments or faculties. The faculty or department conducts its own examinations for its applicants. Its course focuses on current issues in Japan covering a broad range of disciplines, humanities, including social sciences, and advanced science and technology subjects.

Kobe University Campuses

The university comprises of four campuses: Rokkodai, Kusunoki, Myodani, and Fukae. Rokkodai Campus being the main campus is home to nine out of eleven faculties. Rokkodai Campus is for Law, Economics, and Business Administration. Second Rokkodai campus is for Letters, Science, Agriculture, and Engineering. The First Tsurukabuto campus is for Intercultural Studies. The Second Tsurukabuto campus is for Human Development. Kusunoki Campus is for Medicine. Myodani campus is for Health Sciences. Fukae campus is for Maritime Sciences.
