Program Overview

This course explains the basic concepts related to the components of finance as a field of study, i.e., Public Finance, Financial management, and Personal Finance, as well as the major objectives and issues of each component. It also discuses related concepts such as cash flow, liquidity, profitability, risk, and capital structure. In addition, the duties, authorities and the qualifications of the chief financial officer (CFO) are discussed as well as the trade off between risk and return is explained.
