Program Overview

Gas Engineering is a field of profession that involved activities such as gas processing, pipeline transmission and distribution and gas utilization. Skills and expertise in the process design, installation, system operation, project supervision, research and management are important to ensure those activities are performed in a safe and efficient manner for the benefit of mankind. With the 84.9 trillion cubic feet 2004 gas reserves, Malaysia is in need of skill manpoCoursers in gas engineering area in order to utilize this energy that is estimated to last for about 6o years.

Additional Information & Requirements

Matriculation or STPM with minimum of B- in Mathematics/ Additional Mathematics/ Further Additional Mathematics, Chemistry/ Engineering Chemistry and Physics/ Engineering Physics/ Biology with CPA 3.00 and not physically handicapped which makes him/her unable to conduct experimental/ practical work, High School Certificate/Senior Secondary School/other equivalent pre-university qualifications from government schools with a period of at least 12 years of study from primary to higher secondary, General Certificate of Education GCE A Level , Diploma in related field or other equivalent pre-university examinations; Other certificates recognized by the Senate of the University as equivalent to the above; Specific requirements based on programmes; English language requirement: A minimum score of 500 in the Test of English as a Foreign Language TOEFL or TOEFL IBT> 59 or; An overall band score of 5.5 in IELTS Academic or; An overall band score of 5.5 in TEEP UTMSPACE or;An overall band score of 3 in MUET STPM holder or; Completion of ELS Certified Intensive English Programme CIEP Level 107 or higher
