The programme intends to provide a space for the development of teaching and learning, emphasizing on the studies of the region including its politics, economy, culture and security.Using the multi-disciplinary approach of considering issues and application, students in the initial stage are required to take two Departmental core subjects including South East Asian languages. Students in their final year of study are required to take the research paper component.

Should require National Higher School Certificate (or an Advanced Level equivalent) with the grade 80% and above, A Diploma from recognized Institutions with at least a CGPA of 3.00, Applicant may be required to undergo an interview session for certain selection programme before being accepted by the respective faculty, Students are required to enroll in the Malay Language Programme prior to being conferred a degree, A band of 6.0 and above in IELTS (Academic)or A score of 550 (PBT), 213 (CBT) or 80 (IBT) and above in TOEFL, Band of 3 and above in Malaysian University English Test (MUET).
