The main objectives of the Tourism Studies programme are to provide a comprehensive background to the local and international dimensions of the tourism industry and to equip students with skills to critically analyse the tourism industry and its impacts on society, the environment and the economy. It is an inter-disciplinary programme, covering a wide range of subjects. The Institute for Tourism, Travel and Culture works closely with local tourism stakeholders, such as government entities and ministries, hotels, restaurants, heritage agencies, and is an active member of several European and international networks.
