Biology - the study of life, is exciting and rewarding. Most of all it is very relevant to each of us, society in general and the environment. The increased importance of applied biology is apparent in day-to-day applications in industry, environmental management and planning, and biomedical research, amongst others. The course leading to the award of the BSc (Hons) degree in Biology has been tailored to equip students with the necessary knowledge and training in the various areas of the biological sciences, and ensures coverage of the latest and most essential knowledge of biology at tertiary level that are in line with international undergraduate degrees.
