Comparative European History is an interdisciplinary Bachelor's programme that teaches European history from a comparative and issue-driven perspective. The programme focuses on a series of fundamental socio-economic, demographic, political and cultural topics that are of great relevance for societies today. Examples of topics could be migration, inclusion and persecution of minorities, religious fundamentalism, cultural appropriation, failed versus successful cases of state building and societal responses to major crises such as disease control.
Should have a Dutch VWO-diploma, an International Baccalaureate diploma, a European Baccalaureate diploma, with at least the course English Language 2 or Language 1, a diploma, in which English has been part of the final examinations, a diploma equivalent to or higher than the Dutch VWO level by completing an English-taught educational programme, TOEFL iBT total score of 80, an IELTS Academic overall score of 6.0.
