Asian Studies is an interdisciplinary programme for students who wish to combine training in an Asian language with courses devoted to developing an understanding of the history, culture, politics and economics of the countries of the Asian region. The programme is designed to develop not only linguistic ability, but also a wider appreciation of the nature of Asian societies and the traditions, values and beliefs of Asian peoples. The Bachelor of Arts and Science (BASc) adds to the range of options available. It enables graduates to present themselves to employers and the world at large as people who have real expertise in both the sciences and the humanities.
The minimum entrance requirement is the completion of a high school certificate plus satisfactory completion of one year s study at an approved tertiary institution, IB Diploma with a minimum of 26 points, GCE Advanced Levels: minimum grade of 8, IELTS of 6.0, TOEFL ibT of 80 (writing 20), CAE/CPE of 176 (with no individual band below 169), (PTE) Academic of 58 with no communicative skills score below 50, Academic Transcripts, Educational Credential Evaluators report (ECE), Proof of your identity.
