This programme is designed for students wishing to acquire a managerial role in the fast-growing hospitality sector. The BHM includes courses that provide a strong foundation in the key functions of management, marketing and economics. Students will also acquire the skills to implement best practice across a broad range of hospitality operations. With a focus on hospitality business acumen, the BHM also allows students the opportunity to gain first-hand industry practice at Stage 3 level. To support BHM students further, and through quality hospitality industry relationships, students are assisted with employment opportunities during their study via the AIS Student Careers Centre.
A minimum of 14 NCEA credits in each of 3 subjects at Level 3, and a minimum of 14 numeracy credits at Level 1 or higher, and a minimum of 8 literacy credits at Level 2 or higher; or Equivalent overseas qualification, IELTS 6.0 with no band less than 5.5, TOEFL iBT 60 (with a writing score of 18), Pearson 50.
