You will learn how nucleic acids, proteins, enzymes, lipids and carbohydrates function in living cells and organisms. The availability of the total genome DNA sequence for an increasing number of organisms, combined with the rapidly developing subject of bioinformatics (analysis of nucleic acid and protein sequences using computers), provides an enormous resource for future biochemists.
