Geographers seek to understand the web of interactions and interconnections which link people and the environment. To succeed in that they require a firm grounding in a number of study areas. In the undergraduate Bachelor of Arts (BA) programme students focus on: regions of uneven development; geographies of social categories like ethnicity and gender; urban and rural change; geopolitical conflict; the human use of natural resources; the process and implications of economic restructuring. Students are also introduced to the basics of social and environmental science through fieldwork and practical courses in research methods.
The minimum entrance requirement is the completion of a high school certificate plus satisfactory completion of one year s study at an approved tertiary institution, IB Diploma with a minimum of 26 points, GCE Advanced Levels: minimum grade of 8, IELTS of 6.0, TOEFL ibT of 80 (writing 20), CAE/CPE of 176 (with no individual band below 169), (PTE) Academic of 58 with no communicative skills score below 50, Academic Transcripts, Educational Credential Evaluators report (ECE), Proof of your identity.
